Discover a different side of Cozumel aboard Atlantis XII, a real tourist submarine that takes you approximately 30 meters - 100 feet below the Caribbean Sea. Enjoy the underwater scenery from a dry, air-conditioned cabin: no swimming skills, diving experience or snorkeling equipment are required.
Your approximately two-hour experience begins with check-in and a safety briefing at Atlantis Submarines Cozumel. A boat transfer aboard ANA takes you to the submarine, where the crew helps organize boarding before the descent. The underwater portion lasts approximately 40–45 minutes.
Through the viewing windows, explore Chankanaab Reef, the dramatic Cozumel Wall and the Felipe Xicoténcatl shipwreck, now a habitat for marine life. Guided narration helps you understand the reef environment and the scenery along the route. Fish, corals and other wildlife are part of a natural ecosystem; sightings and visibility vary with conditions and are never guaranteed.
This is an appealing option for families with children aged four and older, cruise visitors and travelers who want to discover the sea while staying dry. Every passenger must meet the height requirement and independently climb the 12-step boarding ladder. A digital dive certificate is included as a souvenir of your experience.
The full activity takes approximately two hours, including registration, the safety briefing and the tour. Arrive 30 minutes before your confirmed departure, or 40 minutes early for groups larger than eight. Departures operate Monday through Saturday at 9:30, 10:30, 11:30, 12:30 and 13:30, subject to demand and availability, using local Cozumel time.
The marine park fee of MXN 225 per person and ground transportation are not included. Weather or strong currents may lead the operator to cancel a departure; in that case, rescheduling or a refund is available.
Booking and payment: reserve at least one week (7 days) before departure and pay the full tour amount when booking. Partial deposits are not accepted. The separately charged marine park fee remains excluded.
Cancellation or refund without charge is available when requested at least 24 hours in advance. The operator allows rescheduling by telephone or in person within the published 24-hour window around check-in, up to one year from the purchase date. Coordinate any change with us before relying on a new departure; availability applies.
The operator may cancel a departure because of adverse weather or strong marine currents. Passenger safety takes priority. If the operator cancels for these reasons, you may reschedule or receive a refund.
Book at least 7 days (168 hours) before departure and pay the full tour amount when booking. Partial deposits are not accepted. Minimum age: 4 years; minimum height: 90 cm. Each passenger must independently climb the 12-step boarding ladder and follow crew instructions. No alcohol or drugs. The operator accepts uncomplicated pregnancies only through the sixth month. Arrive 30 minutes early, or 40 minutes for groups larger than eight.
